Army Public School Jorhat, celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation at the Jorhat Military Station. The event witnessed a remarkable gathering of 1,041 participants, including students, teachers, and parents, who came together for a Mass Yoga Demonstration held at the station’s football ground, set against a serene backdrop of lush greenery. The session was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Nabajani Deka, Yoga Guru who led the participants through the standardized Yoga protocol. The demonstration commenced with the chanting of Omkar, followed by a series of asanas, and concluded with a prayer for world peace, embodying the holistic spirit of Yoga and the mandatory 'Sankalp' by one & all present to embrace the Yogic exercises as part of modern day lifestyle. In addition to the yoga demonstration, the school organized a Quiz and Essay Writing Competition on the theme of Yoga, which saw active and enthusiastic participation from the students. The winners of the competition were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony where Brig VS Rajput SM, Dy GOC 41 Sub Area presented the trophies and certificates to the students. The collective effort and spirited involvement of the entire APS Jorhat community made the celebration a resounding success, reinforcing the importance of Yoga in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
