Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration

Army Public School, Jorhat, commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with deep reverence and patriotic zeal to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil War. The special assembly began with the soulful rendition of the prayer song "Hum Ko Man Ki Shakti Dena," followed by an inspiring thought by Captain Vikram Batra, Param Vir Chakra awardee. Nibeer Nayan Das moved the audience with a heartfelt self-composed poem, encapsulating the spirit of valour and sacrifice. Shrubansu Shekhar Sahu delivered an impactful speech, setting the tone for the day's observance. A captivating skit followed, portraying the emotional farewell of a soldier to his family, a dramatic battlefield encounter, and a moving tribute to martyrs through a soldier's letter home. Vivaan’s speech on the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and Reyansh’s tribute to Captain Manoj Pandey, PVC, added depth to the occasion. The group rendition of patriotic songs "Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon" and "Sandese Aate Hain" evoked strong emotions and national pride among all present. The observance concluded with the National Anthem, paying homage to the valiant heroes of Kargil. The programme was a stirring reminder of the courage, commitment, and supreme sacrifice of our soldiers, instilling in students a deeper sense of patriotism and gratitude.
