The program aimed at sensitizing students about the importance of proper waste segregation, reduction of single-use plastics, and sustainable disposal practices. The resource persons from SAAHAS explained the concept of “3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” and demonstrated practical methods of segregating waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories. They highlighted the urgent need to minimize plastic usage, manage e-waste responsibly, and adopt eco-friendly habits in daily life. Through interactive discussions, videos, quiz and live demonstrations, the session encouraged students to take responsibility as “green ambassadors”.
